If you’re keen for a bit of moonlighting at Sainsbury’s but don’t want to go through the rigmarole of interviewing for a position, just go onto ASOS.
Because they’re selling a £70 Puma jacket that looks remarkably like the Sainos uniform.
The orange and maroon zip-up is almost identical to those supermarket fleeces, albeit slightly less well-fitting.
‘Why would you wanna pay £70 to look like you’re scanning groceries in Sainsbury’s,’ asks one Twitter user.
A valid point considering that Sainsbury’s staff actually get paid to wear the fleece, not the other way around.
But you know, they are iconic.
Perhaps it was just a matter of time before a label caught on to their allure
@emknight55 @lxwissss Always said my sainos fleece was top quality

But if you haven’t got £70 to spend on the ersatz version, you can get your hands on the real deal
I reckon I could get at least £40 for mine then
