irishmirror– When it comes to decorating Christmas trees, everyone has their own way of going about it – some are incredibly precise and have to find the perfect spot for each ornament, while others haphazardly hang baubles on branches without a care in the world.

If you have little kids getting involved with the decorating process, then you have to be prepared for the latter to happen, Mirror.co.uk reports.

This was highlighted by one parent recently who shared a look at her mother-in-law’s Christmas tree after her toddler had been let loose on it.

A photo of the tree was shared on Twitter by a writer named AC Thomas, who captioned the post: “My toddler decorated my mother in law’s tree.

In the photo the large tree looks pretty sparse, with a silver angel on top and a few snowflake decorations dotted around.

While there isn’t much going on at the top, the bottom half is packed with red and silver baubles, which were clearly all placed at the toddler’s height.

The post went viral on Twitter, garnering over 410,000 likes and more than 38,000 retweets.

Many people also took the time to comment on the photo, sharing their thoughts on the child’s decorating abilities.

One person said: “The bottom looks really nice. Your kid has a good eye. Just needs some height, lol.”

Another wrote: “The toddler looking back at the tree hella proud like.”

“Looks better than it probably ever will…WE STAN,” proclaimed a third.

Someone else tweeted: “If any cats live there, I’m sure they’re excited.”

A different user replied: “Adorable. This would make a great Holiday growth chart over the years!”

“Your kid has a real talent for decorating. That looks great,” commented a sixth.

A seventh joked: “A fantastic job! I like the rustic simplicity of the top and how it really enhances the elaborate, ornate bottom section!”

If this “rustic” look isn’t for you though and you’d prefer your tree to look a little more polished and professional, then you’re in luck.

That’s because an interior designer recently shared her top tips for decorating the tree and your home for Christmas.
