A teenager with learning difficulties has been told he is lucky to be alive after being robbed at knife-point for his AirPods.
Jack Harley, 14, prevented himself from being stabbed in the chest by holding his arm up in defence – and was left with a huge gash.
The robbers also punched and kicked him in the head after stabbing him.
Jack, who suffers from sensory processing disorder and ADHD, spent three days in hospital and needed surgery following the incident in Dudley on April 17, at 9.30pm.
His devastated mum Diane Harley, 47, is now bravely speaking out about the attack.
She said: I received a phone call from his girlfriend to say Jack had been stabbed and that he was in the back of an ambulance. It was the most horrific feeling. I just felt totally helpless.
