Two people have been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a dog in Scotland.

The woman, 22, and man, 23, received serious hand and face injuries in the incident, which happened in Avonbridge at about 11pm on April 20.

Both victims remain in Forth Valley Royal Hospital where they are undergoing treatment, police said.

Officers are working hard to trace the dog and its owner.
