The budget for the London fireworks is set each year by the mayor. This year he announced that he was allocating £2.3 million from the Greater London Authority for the event.

This wont cover the full cost of the fireworks, but its expected that ticket sales and concession income will bring in a further £950,000 that will be added to the mayors budget.

This means that the total cost of the New Years Eve fireworks is expected to be around £3,250,000.
