Man arrested after two women ‘murdered’ in Kent

Police say a 28-year-old man, who is believed to know the victims, remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two women died near Tonbridge, Kent police have said.

Officers were called by paramedics to an address in Hadlow just after 7.40am on Saturday.

Three people were found seriously injured at the property in Carpenters Lane.

Two women, in their 50s and 70s, died at the scene.

A man in his 70s was taken to hospital in London for treatment.

Officers arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

More from UK

He remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue.

It is believed the victims and suspect were known to each other, a police spokeswoman said.
