Two pensioners are among six people arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found at a flat in Greater Manchester.

Police discovered the body of a man in his 50s at a property in Palatine Street, Rochdale, at about 10.30pm on Saturday after being called by paramedics.

A murder investigation was launched and three people were initially arrested – two men aged 49 and 43, and a 44-year-old woman.

A further three people were arrested on Sunday – a 70-year-old man and two women aged 69 and 47.

All six remain in custody.

"This is a fast-moving investigation," said Detective Superintendent Debbie Dooley.

"We would continue to urge the public to get in touch with any information they have.
