It means youll be charged an extra 5p for taking a paper cup instead of bringing your own.

This change follows a three-month trial across London stores which showed a huge 126% increase in the numbers of customers using their own reusable cups.

To encourage people to bring their own cups, Starbucks is giving away a 25p discount off any drink as long as you bring your own cup in.

Following the 5p cup charge, by 2020, Starbucks will have implemented a global ban on plastic straws, showing total dedication to removing the amount of plastic ending up in the ocean.
