If you haven’t made dinner reservations for Valentine’s Day just yet, you might want to hold off on that fancy restaurant you’ve got your eye on, because McDonald’s is offering a three-course, sit down meal to its most loyal customers.

Well, at least the Newcastle branch is.

Taking to Facebook, the McDonald’s – Newcastle & Metrocentre page wrote: ‘Book a table for you and your loved one this McValentine’s Day right here on Northumberland Street, we are going all out providing the most romantic dining experience in history.

‘We are offering 3 courses of McValentine’s perfection for £20 per couple.’

‘Choose to start your experience at 7pm, 8pm or 9pm.’

According to a McDonald’s spokesperson, there’s going to be lots on offer at the McDonald’s Valentine’s meal.

Starters will include Cheddar Bites, four nuggets and carrot sticks with Philadelphia.

Mains, which are all served with fries and a drink, consist of the following choices: A Big Mac, the Signature Collection Burger, Chicken Legend, Fillet-O-Fish, Veggie Burger, 20 chicken nuggets to share, or any other burger available on the McDonald’s menu at the time.

Finally, for dessert, you can opt for a McFlurry, a fruit bag, an apple pie, or a muffin.

So basically, it’s just your basic meal but on Valentine’s day.

But hey, at least it’s still a meal out – right?

To make things more interesting, the branch has launched a competition, giving away one table per time slot – though choosing to dine at McDonald’s for free on Valentine’s Day sort of defeats the object.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is share this post, tag your date with a chosen time slot and like the Facebook page. The winner will be announced on 6 February.
