When you’re veggie, Quorn are the absolute queens of your fridge freezer (along with ya girl Linda, of course).
But when you transition to vegan? Oh boy. Most of your favourite treats are out.
Most Quorn products contain egg white, which is sad because man oh man, that Quorn roast? Get. At. Me.
Back in 2016, Quorn blessed us by veganising the fillet and breaded fillets, as well as making some vegan nuggets, and although the nuggets are nowhere near as good as the non-vegan ones (bit dry, mate), we were thankful.
At the tail end of last year Queen Quorn launched some vegan burgers, five grain fillets and BBQ strips. Have you had those BBQ strips? You should. Get on that BBQ train. Make some fajitas, chuck them in a black bean stew, eat them frozen from the packet (what?).
Guess what? They’ve only gone and released more vegan products, just in time for the holiest of months – Veganuary.
Say hello to your sandwich’s newest pals – vegan smoky ham free slices and vegan chicken free slices.
Vegan smoky ham free slices, Quorn, RRP £1.99
Ham and pickle, ham and pickle, ham and pickle. Little bit of ham on your vegan cheese deli board? Oh go on then.
Vegan chicken free slices, Quorn, RRP £1.99

To be honest, I have a vision of myself standing at the fridge, rolling these up and dipping them in a jar of vegan mayo, but for the sake of sounding like a civilised person, I’m going to suggest you throw these on a salad or something.
Not vegan? Feeling lazy? You’re in for a treat because Quorn has also launched two new vegetarian ready meals.
You’ve got a jambalaya and an oriental stir fry, which are both solid options, we think you’ll agree.
Vegetarian jambalaya, Quorn, RRP £2.79
Smoky paprika and tomato rice with sweet peppers and Quorn pieces. Oh hello.
Vegetarian oriental stir fry, Quorn, RRP £2.79
Quorn Pieces in a sticky and sweet sauce with a hint of chilli and soy, served with egg fried rice and peas. Sounds delish.
All products will be available in Sainsburys from 31 January.
So there you go, my little vegan and vegetarian, pals – some more options for you. Ham and pickle baps all round!
Also, in case you missed it, Tesco has just launched a huge new range of plant-based pizzas, ready meals and sandwiches/wraps, so you might want to take a gander if you’re on a lazy January hype and can’t be bothered making your own scran.
