All four UK nations have recorded their warmest Easter Monday of all-time, but the sunshine will soon give way to hail and thunder.
The Met Office reported some glorious highs of 25C (77F) in England, 23.6C (74.5F) in Scotland, 23.5C (74.3F) in Wales and 21.4C (70.5F) in Northern Ireland.
It follows Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland enjoying their warmest Easter Sunday on record.
But as a return to work beckons, those hoping they might be able to consign their coats to the wardrobe for a few months look set to be disappointed.
While many parts of the UK will see the fine weather continue into the evening on Monday, the odd sharp shower may develop in the South West later.

Tuesday will see more showers in the West and South West and thundery showers will then move northwards including colder conditions, according to the Met Office forecast.
England's highest temperature was recorded at Heathrow, Northolt in west London, and Wisley in Surrey.
