A judge has given a domestic abuser a piece of his mind after a court heard his victim lost count of the number of times he punched her.
Judge Rupert Lowe told Martin Williams, 35, his actions were those of a violent misogynist for his attack on his ex-girlfriend, who said his eyes turned black when he attacked her.
Williams hit her repeatedly, spat in her face and dragged her around by the throat at her home in Ashford, Kent, after seeing a text message on her phone.
He then jumped on her and gouged her eye until it turned purple and kicked her in the shin so hard she thought it was broken.
Sentencing him to 18 months in prison for ABH Judge Lowe said: You think this is what real men do but real men do not act like this – thats what violent misogynistic men do.
