The moment a jealous husband admitted to murdering his estranged wife has been released by police as he was found guilty.
Mohammed Ali, 32, calmly admitted to tying Nazia Begums scarf around her neck but claimed it was an accident.
He lay wait in a small cupboard for several hours after breaking into their marital home in Bow, east London, for his wife, 25, to come home in October.
Ali had become jealous when she started seeing another man called Ismail Ali following the break down of their two-year marriage.

Nazias mother Janahara Begum said: The day Nazia died was the worst day of our lives. Our hearts are broken beyond repair; we will never be the same again. He took away, not just my child, but a mother, a sister, a niece, a granddaughter, a cousin and a friend.
I have to listen to my grandchildren hold each other and cry for their mother every day. How do I explain to a three year old that her mother is dead? That my child is dead?
I took Mohammed in as my son and instead he left my heart empty by taking away my child. Her daughters will never see their mother again, they will never feel their mothers comfort again and they will never feel their mothers love, ever again.
Every day, when the children ask me when their mother will come back from heaven, my shattered heart breaks a little more.
Prosecutor Sarah Whitehouse told the court that Mohammed Ali bought knives and cables before heading to the flat.
She said: He seems to have gotten hold of some keys and let himself in, likely when Nazia wasnt there, situated himself in a small cupboard in the hallway and waited.
Nazia Begum did return to her flat from her mothers address and Mr Ali remained in that cupboard. It seems she had no idea he was there.

Later that evening she sent a video message to her sister, unaware that Ali had been waiting inside for several hours.
Nazias boyfriend arrived at the house just before 11pm but nobody answered. He tried calling her repeatedly and there was one silent pick-up, but all the other calls went unanswered.
