A man almost killed by his ex-girlfriend in an acid attack that left him blind says he cant wait to marry the nurse who helped to save his live.
Daniel Rotariu, 33, fell in love with girlfriend Anna Catanga after surviving the attack at his home in Leicester in July 2016.
He said it was a miracle he was still alive after his ex-girlfriend Katie Leong poured sulphuric acid at 96% concentration on him as he slept.
Leong was jailed for life after being found guilty of attempted murder and will serve at least 17 years.
Two years after the attack, Daniel has had 20 operations and still has more surgery planned for 2019.

But after he was discharged from hospital, Daniel was cared for in secure accommodation where he met Anna.
The pair fell in love, have just had a baby boy together and are planning on getting married in May.
Daniel told Good Morning Britain: Two years ago this was just an impossible dream and Annas changed my life.
I feel like Im blessed, a second chance was given to me and Im making the most of every opportunity.
He says he has moved on from the attack with the help of Anna and their baby David, four months, but he cannot forget what Leong did to him.
I still remember her and think about her, its difficult to forget because every day its dark. You wake up and you remember why you dont see anything.
I still have some surgeries planned for next year but otherwise Im okay. Im enjoying all the moments now.
He cant wait to marry Anna and get on with his life. They are returning to his home country Romania for the ceremony, where Daniel will see his some of his old friends for the first time since the attack.
Anna said the pair couldnt be happier.

Daniel is such a great father and we are very happy together.
Earlier this month Daniel announced he is preparing to sue Leicestershire Police for its handling of his case, claiming officers failed to help prevent the attack.

Police watchdog the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) said the force had been told Leong was acquiring acid and planned to carry out an attack on an unnamed person.
The IOPC found the force did not contact Leong to investigate the allegation.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Metro.co.uk: We are aware of legal proceedings taken by Daniel Rotariu against the force. Due to the ongoing nature of this we cannot comment further at this stage.
