Manchester United have named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager following the departure of Jose Mourinho.
The former striker will take charge of the first team until the end of the 2018/19 season, while the club searches for a new full-time manager.
He will be joined by first team coach Mike Phelan, alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.
"Manchester United is in my heart and it's brilliant to be coming back in this role. I'm really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club," he said.
Solskjaer scored 126 goals during 366 appearances for Manchester United between 1996 and 2007.
He became the club's reserve team manager in 2008, then became a manager at Norway's FC Molde.
"Ole is a club legend with huge experience, both on the pitch and in coaching roles," Ed Woodward, the club's executive vice chairman, said.
"His history at Manchester United means he lives and breathes the culture here and everyone at the club is delighted to have him and Mike Phelan back.
"We are confident they will unite the players and the fans as we head into the second half of the season."

The decision was greeted with enthusiasm in Norway, with prime minister Erna Solberg calling it a "great day for Norwegian football".
Soksjaer recently signed a new contract with Molde, and the club said they were "positive" to lend Solskjaer and wished the manager good luck in his posting.
