LONDON (Reuters) – Prime Minister Theresa Mays draft European Union divorce deal will not get the approval of the UK parliament, former Brexit Secretary David Davis said on Friday.
“Whats more likely to happen than a confidence vote (in May) is this deal will be rejected by the House of Commons… Theres no way I can see it getting through,” Davis told CNBC.
“Therefore shell have to come up with another alternative.”
Davis resigned as Brexit secretary in July in protest at Mays plans for a long-term relationship with the bloc.
