A dad-of-three started delivering milk when he was just five – and has dedicated his life to his work as a milkman.
Richard Parker is a familiar face in Long Eaton, Chilwell and Attenborough, where he has been dropping off pints for decades.
But the 43-year-old could now be set for national recognition as he is in the running to be named Milkman of the Year.
Richard, from Long Eaton in Derbyshire, goes above and beyond the call of duty for his customers.
Over the years he has helped hoover stairs, change lightbulbs and even set up Skype accounts.
He said: My granddad and dad were milkmen too. I absolutely love it, the peace and quiet in the fresh air with no one looking over your shoulder.
Its great, especially when theres a covering of snow and youre leaving fresh tracks.

We do not see as many customers as we used to because of changes in the industry but the ones I do see I have known for so many years its almost like weve become friends.
On the downside, Richards hours are rough – he works six days a week and has to go to bed when he gets home at 8am.
But he said being on the empty streets meant he sees a side of life – particularly wildlife – that others miss.
Richard beat off competition from 1,100 Milk & More milkmen and women across the country to be nominated for the award.
