Mugger drags woman to floor and kicks her when she fights back

Sickening footage shows a mugger dragging a woman to the floor and repeatedly kicking her when she fights back.

CCTV footage captured the moment the man creeps up behind the unsuspecting 42-year-old victim, who realises shes about to be attacked at the last second.

She bravely fights back but the bag-snatcher boots her in the stomach before finally grabbing her handbag and running away.

Leicestershire Police released CCTV of the attack which happened as the woman walked along Seymour Street, in Leicester, at 8.10pm on September 12.

The thug made off with a purse containing cash, bank cards and two gold chains.

Luckily, the woman only suffered minor injuries, including cuts to her feet, and was left extremely upset.

Detective Constable Michael White said: The victim was subjected to a terrifying experience and while thankfully she was only left with minor injuries, she has been left extremely upset by the incident.

We have been carrying out a number of enquiries and have managed to locate footage capturing the robbery.

The victim saw the man standing on Conduit Street nearby before the incident so he may be local to the area.
