McDonalds worker denies spraying homeless man with jet washer in car park

A McDonalds worker has been pictured allegedly spraying a homeless man with a jet washer.

The worker, who denies deliberately doing it, was spotted by a passerby outside the restaurant in Sixfields, Northampton.

In the photo taken by a woman called Kee on Snapchat, the homeless man can be seen lying on a footpath in McDonalds car park, covered with what appears to be a white duvet.

The worker, who is wearing a hi-vis jacket, appears to spray the man and the area around him with water.

Kee posted the picture on Snapchat, writing: McDonalds worker makes me feel sick! Spraying a homeless man with a jet wash poor man.

The shocking picture was also shared on Facebook, causing dozens of people to respond and hit out at the workers lack of humanity.

Another person wrote: What gives people the right to treat homeless people so badly…its disgusting. The police need to crack down on this.. homeless people are vulnerable…shocking behaviour.

McDonalds has since apologised for the incident and said it has spoken to its staff at the Northampton restaurant.

A spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: We apologise for the incident in question. Having looked into it we understand that no one was sprayed during the cleaning, however we appreciate that more consideration needs to be shown in the future.

We have spoken to the team to ensure this doesnt happen again.
