A man who died for 12 seconds has thanked his girlfriend and their decorator for saving his life.
Morgan Rogers, 26, was taking a nap at his home in Canton, Cardiff, last Friday when his airways closed up and stopped him from breathing.
Luckily his girlfriend Jessica Collier, 22, was in the house and called 999, as Lee Richards, who was painting their home that day, gave him lifesaving CPR.
Lee kept him alive until the air ambulance came to take him to the University of Wales emergency department.
Morgan said he owes his life to Jessica and Lee

He said: I woke up from my sleep and I told Jess that I couldnt breathe.
I then dropped to the floor and apparently I turned blue and had blood coming out of my nose.

She put me in the recovery position and called down to Lee, who had been painting our house for the past week.
He performed CPR on me until an ambulance arrived, but once they realised my airways were blocked they got an air ambulance involved. They didnt think Id make it in time otherwise.
They shut off the whole street for me.
When he arrived in hospital Morgan said he was given steroids and adrenaline which managed to open up his airways and allowed him to breathe again.
He added: They still dont know what happened to me. It could be an allergic reaction to something, or it could be an infection.
Morgan, who was in hospital for two nights before being discharged, is now undergoing tests to determine the cause of his breathing difficulties.
He continued: It scared the life out of me.
I woke up in hospital and I didnt know what had happened to me. When I saw all the blood I thought Id been in a fight. It was like something out of a movie.
I owe Jess and Lee my life.
