A young mums eyes swelled shut after she suffered an allergic reaction to an eyebrow tint, leaving her too ashamed to go outside.
Hannah Corrigan, 22, said she was forced to wear sunglasses for a week and even had to be rushed to hospital while on holiday with her family in Brean.
The mum-of-three visited the saloon in Birmingham city centre for her first ever brow and tint wax on May 27 – but by the next day her eyes had swollen shut.
She believes if she had been offered a patch test it could have been avoided and says she is now considering taking legal action.
Hannah, from Stechford, Birmingham, said: When the beautician got ready to wax my eyebrows I said “I just want you to know I havent had anything done to my eyebrows before”.

She replied,”Dont worry it wont hurt.” No patch test was offered to me – I didnt know any better.
Patch tests are usually offered 24 hours before the dye is applied to ensure the customer is not allergic, by putting a small section of skin in contact with the dye.
Hannah said: The manager was the one who did my tint and I told him I had never had them done before and he still carried on.
I decided to get my nails done as I was there, and he left me with the tint on for about 20 to 25 minutes.
When he came out of the back room he said “Oh I forgot about you” and wiped the tint away. Then I paid and left.
The next day I woke up and it was red and raised all over my eyebrows.
It started to get worse. I could feel it getting worse but I didnt know my eyes would completely swell up until they were completely shut.
Despite this, she still went on holiday twin boys Ellis and Lucas, four, one-year-old son Dylan, and boyfriend Keiron.

She said: I had to go to the hospital and take my children with me because we were on holiday.
I was given an injection of antihistamines and some medication to take.
The nurse told me to go to A&E if it didnt go down in 24 hours – its been six days now and its not getting any better.
Hannah contacted the saloon as soon as she had a reaction but claims she was told she wasnt offered a patch test because she was going on holiday the next day.

She said: Ive been in agony the whole time we were on holiday and Ive had to wear sunglasses everywhere even in the pouring rain because of the embarrassment.
Not only has this physically hurt me but Ive been so ashamed to even go out because of people staring and the pure shame I felt every time I saw myself in the mirror.
I hope the salon know what theyve put me through.
BirminghamLive say they have contacted the saloon which has declined to comment.
