Crack out the sun cream and prepare to get your tan on, because the UK is about to have a 10 day heatwave.

No, you read that right, Britain is actually going to be warm for once.

It means the bank holiday is going to be good, but unlikely to see the highs that the last bank holiday saw, when the mercury hit as high as 29C.

Monday should see some a dry and warm start to the day but forecasters are warning there could be a chance of some thunderstorms in the afternoon across Wales and the south of England.

If youre living in Scotland or Northern Ireland be prepared for a damp start, but things should brighten up fairly quickly.

But dont let that get you down, because Tuesday could be seeing some highs of 25C.

Across the week, temperatures across the UK could be seeing some pretty decent highs, with forecasts currently predicting 22C, with the possibility of this going up.

If you plan on topping up your tan be warned, the UV levels are on the rise, which means skin damage is more likely.

But despite these glorious temperatures, it still isnt summer yet.

We still have another month to go until then, with summer solstice, the longest day of the year, taking place on June 21.
