A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a women died in Essex yesterday.
Police were called at 8.30am yesterday to reports of an assault near the A1306 Arterial Road in West Thurrock and found the 47-year-old woman, from Rainham, seriously injured.

Medics fought to save her life but she died at the scene.
Florin Ion, from Birmingham, is set to appear at Basildon Magistrates Court today.
The road, not far from the Lakeside Shopping Centre, was closed while police investigated.
Thurrock Council said it had since reopened.

We received reports at 8.30am yesterday that a 47-year-old woman, from Rainham, had been assaulted near to the A1306 Arterial Road.
When we arrived we found a woman who was seriously injured but sadly, despite the best efforts by paramedics, she died a short time later.
