A deputy headteacher who killed his wife and three sons before killing himself did it after being caught watching porn at work.
Alan Hawe, 40, killed himself after butchering his wife Clodagh, 39, and sons Liam, 13, Niall, 11, and Ryan, six, on August 29 last year.

His inquest earlier this month heard he was ‘stressed’ about losing his status as a respected pillar of the community due to his porn habit being revealed, reports The Irish Sun.
Hawe was caught watching pornography and pleasuring himself at the school where he worked. He had a long standing problem with pornography which had caused difficulties with his wife.
He used knives, a hatchet and his bare hands to murder his family, and the evidence presented suggested he targeted his wife and eldest son for fear they might strike back.
Their bodies were discovered at their family home in Oakdene Downs, Barconey, near Ballyjamesduff, by Mrs Hawe’s mother.
Hawe had left a note at the door saying not to enter the property and call the gardai.
Lawyer Liam Keane, a solicitor for Mary Coll and Jacqueline Connolly, Mrs Hawe’s mother and sister, said Hawe ‘ensured that the eldest and most likely to provide effective resistance were killed first, and they were executed in a manner that rendered them unable to cry out for help’.
Medical records and counselling notes revealed he had been hiding his depression and severe mental illness.
Cavan Coroner’s Court heard Hawe had told his psychotherapist: ‘People think of me as a pillar of the community. If only they knew.’
Mrs Hawe, 40, who was found in her pyjamas and dressing gown on the sitting room sofa, had suffered axe and stab wounds.
All three of the young boys were also found with stab wounds and their throats cut.
The jury of six women and one man returned verdicts of unlawful killing of Mrs Hawe and her three boys, and suicide in the death of Mr Hawe, after a two day inquest.
