More than 1,000 people showed up to the party at the former ETM factory in Talywain, near Pontypool in Torfaen, and spent the next 12 hours celebrating the new year.

Some people were even spotted arriving at the site on the morning of New Year’s Day ready to party.

But police had to eventually be called after the noise was heard from residents as far as five miles away.

A 22-year-old man from Hampshire has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been released under investigation.
