Many supermarkets will be closing early ahead of tonights celebrations so you may need to head out sooner than you planned if you want to avoid arriving at you local shop too late.

Tesco
Tesco stores will generally be operating with Sunday opening times on New Years Eve and New Years Day (although most Metros will be closed on New Years Day).

Many stores are also likely to open slightly later on New Years Day but it is worth checking with your local store if you need some early morning supplies that day.

Most Sainsburys stores will then open at 7am on New Years Eve but then close at 9pm or 10pm.
On New Years Day many of the shops will open slightly later at 9am until 9pm and then normal opening hours will resume the following day on Wednesday 2 January.

Lidl
On New Years Eve Lidl stores will open at 8am and close at 6pm and the shops will then close for New Years Day, except for stores within the M25 as they will be open.
They will then return to their normal opening hours from Wednesday 2 January.
