A 16-year-old boy killed on the streets of Coventry was the stabbed to death because of his postcode, his sister said.
West Midlands Police said Jaydon Washington James and his friends were attacked in Deedmore Road, Wood End, just before midnight on Saturday.
The teenagers were taken to hospital, where Jaydon died, police said.
Paying tribute to her brother, Jayda James said in a Facebook post that Jaydon died simply because of the neighbourhood he lived in.
She wrote: Jaydon was the sweetest, funniest, most kind-hearted boy. He didnt fight, he wasnt part of a gang, he was friends with everyone and tried to keep the peace whenever he could.

Jaydon was stabbed to death because of his postcode, because he was a Wood End boy. I cant believe someone took my brothers life simply because of the neighbourhood he lived in.

Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster of West Midlands Police said: We have officers working around the clock to find those responsible for this horrific and deeply tragic attack.
Jaydon had only just turned 16 with his whole life ahead of him.
