Kate Middletons coat of arms contrasts sharply with the one approved for Meghan Markle.
Meghan, the new Duchess of Sussex, shares a detailed coat of arms with Prince Harry.
She has chosen to weave in golden poppies, Californias state flower, to reflect her roots.
But the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, shares a design with her family.
The blue and red coat of arms features three acorns at the request of Kate to represent each of the Middleton children — Kate, Pippa and James.
The acorns are said to reflect Britishness and the Middletons family home in Berkshire.
The family love the Peak District and apparently chose the two narrow, white chevronels to portray peaks and mountains on their design.

It was reported before Kates wedding in 2011 that she could have had her own coat of arms, but her father wanted her to have a family one.

The crest cost an estimated £4,000.
It was commissioned by Kates dad Michael Middleton, a wealthy businessman and former flight dispatcher.
Kate and Prince William were also given a married coat of arms.
It combines the mums shield from her family design and parts of Williams own coat of arms.
