Who is Lady Gabriella Windsor and how is she related to the Queen and the Royal Family?

Wedding bells will be ringing with another royal couple set to begin married life.

This time its Lady Gabriella Windsor tying the knot, however, while she is a member of the extended royal family, not everyone may be familiar with her.

Heres what you need to know about the royal and her upcoming nuptials.

Who is Lady Gabriella Windsor?

Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Michael being the paternal first cousin to the Queen and grandson to King George V.

This makes her the first cousin once removed to the Queen, the second cousin to Prince Charles and the second cousin once removed from Prince William and Harry.

She is 52nd in line to the throne and as shes not a working royal with duties to undertake, is free to pursue whatever career she fancies.

Currently, Lady Gabriella works as an arts and travel director for luxury brand Branding Latin America, while also dabbling in freelance writing.

When and where is Lady Gabriella Windsors wedding?

In true royal form, Lady Gabriella is getting married at St Georges Chapel – the same venue in which both Prince William and Prince Harry wed their wives – today, Saturday 18 May.

The 38-year-old got engaged to her husband-to-be Tom Kingston – who is also Pippa Mittletons ex – on the Isle of Sark last summer after years of dating, with the pair having first got together in 2015.

Tom worked within the Diplomatic Missions Unit in the Foreign Office, before moving to Baghdad for three years to join the International Centre for Reconciliation, helping to mediate conflicts and negotiating the release of hostages during the Iraq war.

In 2006 he transitioned into finance and has since worked as a chartered financial analyst.

Will the Queen be at Lady Gabriella Windsors wedding?

The Queen was confirmed to be among the royal guests when vows are exchanged this weekend.
