Machete-wielding man caught dancing on CCTV after robbing terrified family

A masked robber was caught on CCTV waving a machete and dancing after stealing money from a terrified family.

Victim Clare Lee had been at home when armed attackers burst into her home and threatened to kill her children, aged nine, 16 and 18.

The men punched and slapped the mum-of-three before boiling a kettle and threatening to pour it over her unless she gave them her money.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information after the attackers were caught leaving the property, in West Yorkshire, on CCTV.

They came into mine and my late husbands home and terrified my babies, Mrs Lee said.

She continued: I was punched a few times and dragged about and slapped a few times.

They were demanding money and they also boiled a kettle and threatened to pour boiling water in my mouth.

A WIDOW has posted video of the terrifying moment a masked gang weilding machetes broke in and threatened her family. Clare Lee posted CCTV footage on Facebook in an effort to catch the ?horrible animals? who threatened to kill her and her children while brandishing machetes and wearing balaclavas. The footage shows four men breaking into the property on Atlas Mill Road, in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Clare said in her appeal that her daughter was heavily pregnant during the robbery, her young son was ?terrified?, and their dog was poisoned too - though managed to survive. The incident took place last Friday December 7 at around 10.25pm, with police say they are investigating. The gang seized an undisclosed amount of cash from the family. Clare posted: ?Needed and advised to share this.

They told my kiddies they were going to kill me if I didnt tell them where [the money] was.

Mrs Lee said that her dog, a German Shepherd called Rocky, may also have been poisoned by the attackers before they burst into her home.

She says police believe the animal was given ketamine, which can used as an anaesthetic.

Fortunately Rocky is now recovering despite being ill for a few days after the break in, which took place at around 10.25pm, on December 7.

Detectives from the West Yorkshire Police are now investigating the robbery on Atlas Mill Road, Brighouse.

Suspects entered the property wearing balaclavas and some carrying weapons, a police spokesperson said.

They made threats to the occupants and demanded money. An amount of money was taken from the home and then fled on foot, onto Owler Ings Road, past The Bridge public house and down a canal towpath into Owler Ings car park.

From there it is thought they drove off in a white VW Golf, away from the town centre. The suspects were described as male, wearing casual clothing and balaclavas.
