The rumours are true: Nandos launches chips and gravy in time for Christmas

Rejoice, northerners, Canadians, and other purveyors of the magic that is a plate of chips covered in gravy.

Finally, Nandos is jumping on the gravy bandwagon with their own take on the saucy brown stuff.

Just for those chilly festive nights, Nandos is launching peri-peri chicken gravy.

Its a gravy made using chicken (as youd expect), packed with warming, fiery, herby notes (so theres a bit of spice).

From 4 December to 31 December, youll be able to buy a jug of peri-peri gravy for £1.25, to drizzle over your chips, wings, mash, and anything else you fancy.

We tried the Nandos gravy first last night, and can confirm its rich and thick with a touch of spice. Perfect for when its freezing outside and you want to load up on comforting carbs.

Nandos is going all in on the gravy, making it the shining star of their Christmas menu. No other festive dishes are planned.

If you fancy giving it a go, just remember to be fairly speedy. Itll be available in all UK Nandos locations, but only from 4 December to 31 December.

After that youll need to revert to perinaise and garlic sauce.
