These reckless geese couldnt care less if youre enjoying a leisurely Sunday punt along a river.

The angry birds chose a group of tourists as their targets in Cambridge – and the results are hilarious.

Two men ended up soaked to the skin after they were dive-bombed by the birds, which caused them to fall into the River Cam.

The two men fell into the River Cam after the birds knocked them off balance as they flew across the water to land on a nearby college lawn. The tourists, who were dressed in smart trousers and shirts, had to swim to the riverbank after their impromptu soaking, as their friends looked on. The group looked glum as they were left stranded in their punt as their paddle started floating down the river. The two men dragged themselves out onto the grass and later saw the funny side as they were spotted laughing and joking together. SEE COPY CATCHLINE Geese divebomb tourists fall in river

Dramatic pictures capture the ridiculous moment that they were knocked into the water by the geese.

Fortunately, the men from Japan were able to see the funny side and were pictured laughing and joking after they managed to haul themselves out.

The rest of their group could only watch as they drifted away down the river.

But despite being randomly attacked they still had smiles on their faces (Picture: Geoff Robinson)

An eyewitness, who did not want to be named, said: The group were punting down the River Cam when suddenly a flock of geese flew in and landed on the college lawn along the Backs.

The geese knocked the men off balance and they fell into the water and had to swim out.

They looked very fed up at first because it was raining so they were already wet, but afterwards it looked as though they were able to laugh about it.

It will certainly be a lasting memory of punting in Cambridge for them.
