Claire Mountjoy posted the email on Facebook and she's been deluged with messages of support from residents in Colyton, a town with just over 2,000 residents located three miles inland from the seaside resort of Seaton, Devon. Many are so outraged by the order that they have started hanging their washing outside their homes in support of Claire, who lives with her boys in a tiny terraced house. This morning the revolt was spreading fast, with dozens of homes across the town sporting lines and racks of washing blowing gaily in the breeze outside people's houses.
