Police find body in search for missing Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison

A body has been found in the search for missing Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison.

Police Scotland discovered a body at Port Edgar near South Queensferry at 8.30pm on Thursday.

Formal identification hasnt taken place, but the family of Mr Hutchison have been informed.

The indie bands frontman, 36, was last seen at around 1am on Wednesday morning after leaving the Dakota Hotel in South Queensferry.

It has since been established that Scott, lead singer of indie rock band, Frightened Rabbit, left the Dakota Hotel in South Queensfery at 1am on Wednesday and set off on foot.. May 10 2018.

His younger brother, Grant Hutchison, 33, a drummer with the band, said: We are obviously all very distraught that he isnt here but we are staying strong and positive overall to try to help each other through it.

Neil Hutchison, 38, the musicians older brother, added: He does suffer from depression, he has been very open about that in an attempt to help other people with similar conditions. Hes kind, hes a great uncle to my three kids, a fantastic wee brother and an inspiring guy who is one of my heroes.

Police appealed for two people seen crossing the Forth Road Bridge from South Queensferry at 1.10am to get in touch.
