QVC launches its first ever wedding dress

When my family joined the rest of the country in getting Freeview, when I was a teenager, me and my dad were amazed by the fact we had more than five channels.

So, we used to amuse ourselves by sitting and watching QVC.

While my dad knew when to end the joke, I would find myself watching the channel when I was supposed to be revising for my exams, and falling into a trance.

My brain was convinced it needed that face cream/necklace/mop and I’d find my hand slowly reaching for the phone, in a stupor.

QVC sells all sorts of bits and bobs, from beauty to fashion to electronics and homeware, and they’ve now expanded into wedding dresses.

Well, just the one wedding dress, actually, as they’ve launched a bridal collaboration with Ghost.

The dress has a gently draped cowl neckline at the front which rests lower on the back, shoestring ties across the shoulders and a long train trimmed with delicate frilling.

It’s got a vertical seam detail that falls into a long train, and is cut on the bias, to give you ‘a flattering shape’.

The dress is made from 100% viscose, with an 100% twill lining.

It comes in one shade – chalk white – which actually isn’t chalk white at all, but more of an ivory-white that QVC says will add warmth all all skin tones.

QVC says the design ‘will lend exquisite elegance to your wedding day’.

The dress comes in sizes ranging from XS – XL.

You can buy the Ghost London Willow satin wedding dress here for £695.

Remember when ASOS launched a bridal collection back in 2015?

Their dresses are a very affordable £100-£200, which we thought QVC’s might be in the region of, but alas.
