Vegans don’t have to miss out on much these days, thanks to creative minds and food technology.
We get to eat fried ‘chicken’, ‘cheese’ on toast, and filthy frozen pizza – all without harming any animals. It’s pretty great.
You know what else we get to eat? Ice cream.
Hell, the UK’s first vegan, free-from ice cream parlour even opened back in 2016.
There are also so many varieties we can pick up at the store and take home to devour, ranging from fancy flavours, to classic Ben and Jerrys, to Aldi’s own brand.
Next up on the mainstream vegan ice cream train is Cornetto, who have announced that they’ll be launching a vegan cone in the UK, following the product’s success in Italy.
The cone will be gluten free, dipped in vegan chocolate, and filled with creamy, soy ice cream.
It’s got the classic Cornetto topping of nuts and even more chocolate.
Oh, bliss.

The cones will be available in boxes of four in the freezers of Sainsburys stores, from February.
Fingers crossed they sell well and we start seeing them being sold individually in corner shops.
