Mum and daughter jailed for 10 years over New Years Eve pub attack

A mother and daughter have been jailed for 10 years over a New Years Eve pub attack.

Melissa Millard, 22, and Paula Millard, 49, attacked a woman at the Harrow Inn pub in Cheam, leaving her with multiple injuries.

The victim, in her 40s, was taken to hospital following the brutal assault one hour before midnight on December 31, 2016.

They were both sentenced to five years? imprisonment. Police were called to The Harrow pub on High Street, Cheam at 23:00hrs on 31 December 2016 following reports of a woman assaulted. Officers attended and found a woman, aged in her 40s, suffering from multiple injuries after being attacked by two female suspects. The victim was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital for treatment to facial injuries and serious injuries to her wrist. She was left needing treatment for injuries to her face and serious injuries to her wrist.

The Millards were arrested in connection with the assault before being bailed to a date in late March.

They were both charged with causing grievous bodily harm in March 2017.

Melissa, of Clarkes Avenue, Worcester Park, and Paula, of Gander Green Lane, Cheam, were both found guilty of GBH at Croydon Crown Court on Tuesday.
